Comprehensive Electrical Technician Course In Miami
The Electricity Technician Program is designed to train students for an entry-level position in the electrical construction field for residential and commercial projects. This consists of a skill-oriented program where the student is introduced to the fundamentals of electricity with modern tools, equipment, and practice for the correct selection and installation as required by the National Electrical Code (NEC).
The Electrical Technician Program at Florida International Training Institute (FITI) provides hands-on, career-driven instruction covering basic electrical theory, circuit design, conduit bending, wiring methods, panelboard installations, and safety standards. Students build essential skills required by modern electrical contractors, facility managers, and construction teams.
Core Skills & Practical Training
Throughout the program, students gain direct experience working on real-world electrical systems, mastering core technical workflows including:
- National Electrical Code (NEC) Compliance: Interpreting blueprint schematics, load requirements, and wiring specifications in strict accordance with national and local codes.
- Raceway & Conduit Installation: Bending, fitting, and mounting EMT and PVC conduits for safe wire routing across residential and commercial structures.
- Electrical Panels & Power Distribution: Wiring service panels, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and specialized branch circuits.
- System Diagnostics & Safety Protocols: Using digital multimeters and testing equipment to troubleshoot circuits, test ground integrity, and follow OSHA safety guidelines.
